The Portable Mode is the ability to run My Notes Center from a removable drive on any PC or notebook. My Notes Center determines it should work in Portable Mode when a "mynotes.ini" configuration file is present in program folder (the folder with mynotes.exe file). My Notes Center won't store anything in the registry, application data or system folder on the computer. The configuration data, text collector contents and other things are stored in mynotes.exe program folder on removable drive by default. My Notes Center also handles correctly the situation when your USB stick appears, for example, as drive F: on one PC and as drive H: on another.

To set up MNC in portable just insert your removable drive (USB stick, for example) and install the program directly on it. Make sure the "Installation mode" is set to "Portable mode" (choose this option manually if it don't). Apply your registration key as usual after installation. You may use one key for both "normal mode" My Notes Center on your PC and "portable mode" on your removable drive.
